We are punctual, organized, and prepared for each wedding. We bring backup equipment to help ensure the show can go on even if we have an unexpected equipment failure or something breaks. If we say we are going to do something, we will do it.

Both before and during your wedding day, we think communication is important. We’ll want to effectively communicate expectations and understand your plans for your wedding day. We also think it’s important for us to communicate well with other vendors working on your wedding day.

We get it - plans change! Sometimes, the unexpected happens or you decide to mix things up during your wedding day. We’re not there to stress you out by holding you to exact plans. We’re there to capture your day as it happens.
Non-intrusive.

Your wedding day is all about you! Our style is to let you experience your day without directing every moment of it. We’ll capture events as they happen and only direct when it’s appropriate. We’ll take forming a memory over forcing a photo op every time.

Founder & Lead Filmmaker

Since 2014, when we shot our first wedding, I've enjoyed creating over 100 wedding films - and I am eagerly looking forward to the next 100! I geek out over capturing the perfect shot and love when the maid of honor or best man gives a heartfelt toast.

On a personal note, I have an amazingly supportive wife, Megan, and we have two sweet girls. We're big fans of being in the great outdoors, especially mountains. If we aren't home, you can probably find us in the Sierra Nevadas or the White Mountains, where we hike, snowshoe, and cross-country ski. Yeah, we are total winter people!

I live in Quincy, IL, where The Film Jar is based, but I capture weddings wherever they happen. The Film Jar has done weddings from California to South Carolina - so regardless of where you are, I would love to create a timeless wedding film for you.
